General Reservations

Q: Where can I find the day-to-day itineraries?

A: Day-by-day itineraries can be found under the Itinerary tab of each voyage.

Q: Are there special activities for children?

A: Our Club Mariner program is designed for age groups 5-8, 9-12 and 13-17, and is supervised by specially trained counselors. Club Mariner is available on select sailings only. Please ask your travel professional for details.

Q: What is your smoking policy?

A: In light of continuing legislative changes in smoking policies around the world as well as the comfort, health and safety of our guests and crew, both in terms of the proven dangers of second hand smoke and the fire hazard that smoking presents, smoking is prohibited in all suites, staterooms and balconies fleet-wide.

In addition, cigarette smoking is not permitted in any enclosed dining areas, whether it be the ships' main dining rooms or the alternate dining venues. Cigarette smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the outdoor Pool Grills. Other than open deck areas, the following are the only public rooms or areas where cigarette smoking is now permitted:

  • Seven Seas Voyager:  Connoisseur Club, Casino, Voyager Lounge (designated area), Horizon Lounge (outside area only), Pool Bar
  • Seven Seas Mariner:  Connoisseur Club, Casino, Horizon Lounge (outside area only), Stars Nightclub (designated area), Pool Bar
  • Seven Seas Navigator:  Connoisseur Club, Casino, Stars Lounge (designated area), Galileo's (outside area only), Pool Bar

Pipe smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club aboard Seven Seas Voyager, Mariner and Navigator.  Pipe smoking in open deck areas is considered an extreme fire hazard and is not permitted. Cigar smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club aboard Seven Seas Voyager, Mariner and Navigator, and in the designated area of the Pool Bar area aboard all four vessels.

Failure to comply with this ban will result in guests being asked to leave the ship at their expense, without refund or credit for the unused portion of their cruise.

Q: I am in suite 816 on the Mariner. Why do my bag tags say deck 8F?

A: The F means Forward deck which helps in the loading of bags on the pier.

Q: What is "open seating?"

A: You can dine whenever, wherever and with whomever you choose during regular dining hours. In some of the alternative restaurants, reservations are recommended.

Q: Do we provide wheelchairs to passengers?

A: No, they would have to provide their own, except in an emergency.

Q: What is your policy about additional gratuities?

A: Gratuities are included in the cruise fare for all RSSC vessels. If guests feel strongly about expressing their gratitude to the crew, they should be encouraged to make a donation to the Crew Welfare Fund at the Purser Office. This money is utilized for crew parties and events.

Q: Are children allowed? And what about children's fares?

A: Children under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult over the age of 21. RSSC may restrict the number of children on board. RSSC is unable to accept infants less than one year of age.

Q: How can I find the dress code for each sailing?

A: Dress Codes for each evening are listed on the Itinerary tab of each cruise.

Q: Should pregnant guests have any special documentation ?

A: Pregnant women should consult with their doctor prior to sailing with Regent Seven Seas Cruises as we cannot offer pre-natal care on board any of our vessels. Regent Seven Seas Cruises will not accept any guest if she is (24 weeks) 6 months or more into the pregnancy at the time of sailing due to the lack of neo-natal care facilities on board.

Those guests under (24 weeks) six months must provide RSSC with a written doctor's permission prior to sailing that states she is "fit to travel by sea and air (if RSSC booked their air)". This must be forwarded to Reservations, Attn: Special Requests-Medical, Omaha, Nebraska at: 1-402-493-2351. On the fax, please reference the Guest's name, ship name and sailing date. This permission must be dated within 30 days of the cruise departure date.

The Master in conjunction with the Ship's Doctor has the right to deny boarding if in his professional opinion there may not be adequate shore side medical facilities available in port during their cruise.

Q: What is the dress code on board the ships?

A: Attire ranges from casual to formal. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime on board or ashore, and consists of resort-style outfits. Casual wear, including shorts and jeans, is not considered appropriate after 6:00 p.m. Evening attire can be Country Club Casual, Informal or Formal. Country Club Casual consists of skirt or slacks with a blouse or sweater for women, and slacks and collared shirts for men (no golf shirts). Appropriate Informal wear includes dresses or pantsuits for women, and jackets and collared shirts for men (ties strongly recommended). Formal evening wear includes gowns and cocktail dresses, tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits.

Q: After I make a reservation, when do you need a deposit?

A: A deposit of 15% (20% for World Cruise) of the per person fare is required within 72 hours of reservation to confirm a booking.

Before You Sail

Q: How should I plan a trip?

A: To plan and book your sailing, contact RegentSevenSeasLuxCruises.com at (877) 497-2330 or via email.

Q: When do I receive tickets and documentation?

A: After receipt of final payment and required guest information, cruise documents will be sent to guests approximately 25 days prior to departure. If you are on an RSSC air/sea program, your flight itinerary will be issued wherever possible in the form of e-tickets. Airlines have mandated that all travel agencies and cruise lines issue e-tickets on all e-ticket eligible itineraries. If passengers require a paper ticket on an e-ticket eligible itinerary, airline fees will be assessed.

Q: What is your policy on passports and visas?

A: It is the policy of Regent Seven Seas Cruises to require passports for ALL travelers for all voyages, regardless of guests' nationality and ports of call and countries visited. Passports must be valid for six months beyond the conclusion of your cruise. Please obtain or renew your passports early. Consult your travel professional or customs authority for documentation requirements for your cruise.

NOTE: The U.S. State Department maintains up-to-date information on travel document requirements worldwide. For more information, please visit http://travel.state.gov.

For information on obtaining or renewing a passport, visit the State Department web site Passports page. Passport instructions and application forms can also be downloaded from the Zierer Visa Services website at www.zvs.com.

Blanket visas through RSSC cover only our shore excursions, not trips that passengers decide to do by themselves. It is the passenger's responsibility to determine passport and visa requirements for their cruise itinerary. It is the guests' responsibility to ensure that they are in possession of all required visas and travel documents prior to sailing.

Q: What should I pack?

A: Attire ranges from casual to formal. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime on board or ashore, and consists of resort-style outfits. Casual wear, including shorts and jeans, is not considered appropriate after 6:00 p.m. For 2009, evening attire can be Country Club Casual, Informal or Formal. Country Club Casual consists of skirt or slacks with a blouse or sweater for women, and slacks and collared shirts for men (no golf shirts). Q: Is there a limit on baggage?

A: The amount of personal baggage allowed on our vessels is not limited, but airlines do have limitations. The customary allowance per person is two checked pieces that must not exceed 107 inches (273 cm) when length, height and width measurements are combined. No single piece may exceed the three-dimensional sum of 62 inches (158 cm) and a weight of 70 lbs. (31.75 kg).

Q: How can I ship luggage to/from the ship?

A: Our partnership with Luggage Free can help you make the necessary arrangements to ship, door-to-door, any additional baggage or equipment you may want, without the bother of taking it yourself. Luggage Free, a custom luggage-shipping and delivery service, provides guests with door-to-door luggage shipping, avoiding the inconvenience of carrying, checking and claiming luggage - and even going through customs. Using the service, guests can even make reservations online. Within 24 hours after your order is placed nationwide (six hours in New York City), Luggage Free sends a representative to your home, wraps each bag in protective covering, and transfers them to the nearest airport. The bags are placed in Luggage Free's forward freight system, and then delivered to your destination via its airborne infrastructure. After the bags land, Luggage Free picks them up at the airport, clearing international shipments through customs. Finally, Luggage Free transfers the bags to their ultimate destination address. The process is reversed for the return trip. Guests can make arrangements to have their luggage transported from their home to the ship, and back home from any international port at the end of their cruise by contacting Luggage Free directly: 800-361-6871; .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address); and www.luggagefree.com.

Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?

A: Please advise Regent Seven Seas Cruises of any special dietary requirements you may have 90 days prior to sailing by sending an e-mail to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). General dietary needs such as low salt or low cholesterol foods can be satisfied onboard the ship just by speaking with the dining wait staff.

Q: What if I am celebrating a special occasion?

A: If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon or other special occasion during your cruise, allow us to celebrate with you by advising us on your Guest Information Form.

Q: Is there shopping on board?

A: The ships' boutiques offer a selection of designer fashions, perfumes and Regent Seven Seas Cruises logo items. Toiletries and convenience items are also available for purchase. The boutiques may be closed occasionally while in port due to local government regulations.

Q: How can I give someone a gift on board?

A: We're delighted to assist you. From chocolate-dipped strawberries to a bottle of Dom Perignon, Regent has a very fine selection of attractively boxed gift items that bear the Regent logo.

Arriving & Departing

Q: When is embarkation and disembarkation?

A: The ship is ready for embarkation between 12pm (noon) and 1pm. However, the suites are not usually available before 3pm. If sailing from a U.S. port, in order to meet U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements, all guests must embark the ship no later than two hours prior to sailing time. All other sailings require guests to embark no later than an hour and 30 minutes prior to sailing time. For disembarkation, guests should plan on vacating their suites shortly after the scheduled arrival time into port. Cruise-only guests should not schedule flights prior to four hours after disembarkation.

Q: Will we need to go through Customs?

A: Upon returning to the United States, all baggage is subject to inspection by U.S. Customs Service. Guests originating or terminating their cruise in a foreign port may also be subject to inspection by local customs officials. Residents of the United States are allowed a duty-free exemption of $800 per person and those over the age of 21 may include one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes in their exempted purchases.

Q: Do you offer hotel and land programs?

A: Regent Seven Seas Cruises offers its guests the option to purchase hotel stays or land programs. You may extend your stay in your port of embarkation or disembarkation in one of the hotels listed, or opt for a special exclusive package in some of the most prestigious hotels in the world. The prices include room, tax, service charges, full breakfast, porterage and transfers as applicable. Please note that rates do not include early check-in or late check-out. Official standard check-in time is usually 3:00 pm and check-out time 11:00 am. One night or additional night accommodations may be purchased to ensure early check-in for guests arriving on early flights, or for guests with late flight departures. Regent Seven Seas Cruises reserves the right to substitute hotels.

Some optional land programs are subject to cancellation if a minimum number of participants is not achieved. Cancellation penalties apply on land/hotel programs cancelled within 90 days of departure. Guests participating in the RSSC Air/Sea Program and not deviating will receive airport transfers to/from the pier or hotel. For guests with independent flight arrangements, a private car transfer from the airport to the pier can be purchased in advance and flight information must be advised at least thirty days prior to departure. We regret that motorcoach transfers cannot be booked pre-cruise for guests with independent flight arrangements.

Any cruise cancellation penalties remain in effect as per terms and conditions outlined in the cruise brochure.
